YouTube publication LISTTIN FAQ "Where did you come up with the idea for Travel LISTTIN?"

Liaison between generations...

I did not grow up with computers - but I did take typing and programming classes in high school. I grew up in rural America (Upstate NY farm land) right when the world wide web was kicking off during the dial up days. I did my research projects using card catalogs, the Dewey Decimal System, and interlibrary loans, but typed them up using Microsoft Word and emailing myself files to print at school computer labs. Now, I own a laptop, which is where I am typing this at the moment. I utilize it nearly every day (Thanks Brandon!). I also have a smart phone (two actually - one for personal use and one for the business). There are apps for everything and we use technology within most of our daily tasks. As an educator, I have seen the shift to the dependency on technology - in our classrooms and in the education system itself. Today's high school graduates most likely cannot write in cursive (or read it) - but nor did they take formal typing instruction - and their fingers do not rest on ...

WEBSITE IS LIVE! TravelLISTTIN, LLC is officially open for business!

TravelLISTTIN.com Check it out! (Yes, yes - my favorite color is green!) How beautiful is this website? My son designed it, and a graphic designer named Sarah Channels added the refining touches and made the whole thing stunning! I know that the company became official as soon as the paperwork was filed and approved, and we have been working to build an online presence over the past few months...but the website somehow makes it more official! So, we are open for business! Tell your friends and your family - share a link or like a post. Keep Travel LISTTIN, LLC in mind for all your adventures. We can design, and accompany you on, any excursion.

Avicii - The Nights... you may recognize this one line. (It is trending now - in the background of soooo many vids on social media!) Here's a link to the official music video if you haven't checked it out:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtF6Jej8yb4 It is such an upbeat tune - and the video is filled with adventurous activities - highlighting seizing the day and taking the risks.  Perhaps also the artist passing away at such a young age lends to its popularity at the moment... I find it getting stuck in my head lately - even as I am washing the dishes or tackling household chores - and it is a powerful little mantra. I do not condone living without consideration of the consequences of our actions - but I can agree with this line that I have titled this post for.  This beautiful gift of life IS fleeting - and humans face ever changing circumstances. Nothing stays the same -LISTTIN - Life Is Short; The Time Is Now.

I was scrolling through my pictures - trying to find images to add to the website (both for locations I've visited - and for pics of me for my bio). All I can say is - thank God for stock photos...  Here's the top four reasons I say so: SOMETIMES I am too caught up in the moment to take the picture! I noticed this on a recent trip to St. Thomas (in the Caribbean)... my companions were posing with different backgrounds or outfits - and stopping to snap pics of wildlife and locals...not me! If I am drinking in the view and fully being present - I am not worried about trying to capture it.  Secondly, I am not a professional photographer! So, I am rarely able to get the beauty and majesty I can see with my own eyes to make it through the camera lens. The pictures are often inferior! In this world of photoshop, deep fakes, altering images with graphic designing... we can jump through a dozen hoops to try and make the picture as beautiful as the experience truly was. This often resu...
